Digital Writing Activities (W.1.6 – Writing using digital tools)

  • Writing Activities: Students drag and drop an image of the vocabulary words to the center of the slide, then type the word and use it in a sentence.
  • Vocabulary Activities: Students swipe through vocabulary slides, read the words and sentences aloud and write them on one of the writing templates.

Differentiation

Students work on the same first grade writing activities, but with different expectations based on their skill level. Some students may write words independently, some might write sentences, and some may be ready for short paragraphs.

Each activity in the Spider Writing Center resource is designed to help students independently practice their current writing skills. This ensures each student can complete their writing center tasks successfully.
