The Halloween Writing Center introduces 1st grade students to new vocabulary and provides opportunities to practice independent writing. Aligned to 1st grade writing standards and the Science of Reading, this resource helps students practice narrative, informative, and descriptive writing. Each activity is differentiated so students can write words, sentences, or short paragraphs based on their skills.
Students work on the same first grade writing activities, but with different expectations based on their skill level. Some students may write words independently, some might write sentences, and some may be ready for short paragraphs.
Each activity in the Halloween Writing Center resource is designed to help students independently practice their current writing skills. This ensures each student can complete their writing center tasks successfully.
Yes! The 1st grade writing activities are designed to be flexible. Use them for writer’s workshop, independent writing centers, or free writing time.
